About Death!

As a I really what I do, I´m involved in Grupo PK, a digital artists collective from Madrid.
We´re just a few friends who enjoy working on design apart from our real jobs. Every year we organize an exhibition to show what we´ve done the last months.
Today I´d like to share my first experience with them. It was an exhibition about Death; it took place in Fuenlabrada (Madrid) and there we all could show how each one feels about it. It was really nice to think about it and to share our conclusions.
The people really enjoyed it, specially the openning day, when we invited them to take part on it.
Moreover, we organize activities in order to help other designers and digital artists who have any chance to share what they do in their freetime.

Como realmente me encanta lo que hago, estoy metida en el Grupo PK, un colectivo de artistas digitales en Madrid.
Somos un grupo de amigos a los que nos gusta trabajar más allá de nuestros trabajos reales.
Cada año organizamos una exposición para mostrar en qué hemos andado metidos los últimos meses.
Hoy me gustaría compartir lo que fue mi primera experiencia con ellos. Se trata de una exposición acerca de la Muerte que tuvo lugar en Fuenlabrada (Madrid) y en la que pudimos mostrar lo que cada uno siente frente a ella. Fue genial reflexionar sobre este tema y compartir nuestras conclusiones.
A la gente le gustó mucho, especialmente el día de la inauguración, donde les invitamos a participar de manera activa con diversas actividades.
Además, normalmente organizamos actividades diversas para ayudar a otros diseñadores y artistas digitales que no tienen oportunidad de mostrar al mundo lo que hacen en sus ratos libre.

Stop wasting energy!

This poster was one of the finalist in the yearly Caja Madrid contest in 2009. That time it should fight against the waste of energy, so I decided to do something really simple and visual at the same time, using the Earth as the letter "o" in the word "off", which will be the sad ending of it if the human being continues wasting the natural resources.
It was such a big surprise to be selected among hundreds of works as it was the first time I took part on it. There was also an exhibition with the 20 or 30 finalist which was first in La Casa Encendida (Madrid) and in several other places in the rest of Spain after.

Este cartel fue finalista en el concurso anual de carteles de Caja Madrid en 2009. En aquella ocasión debíamos concienciar contra el derroche energético, por lo que decidí hacer algo muy sencillo y visual, utilizando la Tierra como si fuera la letra "o" de la palabra "off", que será su triste final si el ser humano sigue malgastando los recursos naturales.
Fue una gran sorpresa salir seleccionada entre cientos de trabajos la primera vez que me presenté. Además, hubo una exposición con los 20 ó 30 carteles finalistas, primero en La Casa Encendida (Madrid) y más tarde en otros muchos lugares de España.

It´s hip hop!

Today I´ve found some old "free style" works I did long time ago. There´re not really important, but one day they meant something for me and that´s why I´d like to share them...

Hoy he encontrado algunos trabajos "free style" que híce hace ya bastante tiempo. No son realmente relevantes, pero en su día significaron algo para mí y por eso quería compartirlos...

Jazzaldia!

I designed this poster some time ago for the Jazzaldia Festival, which takes place every year in Donostia. The idea was to mix jazz elements as the trumpet with something characteristic from the city, so I decided to create a "pintxo", the typical dish there which consists of a piece of bread with different ingredients on it...


Hace ya algún tiempo diseñé este cartel para el festival Jazzaldía, que tiene lugar cada año en Donostia. La idea consistía en unir gráficamente un elemento propio del jazz, como la trompeta, con algo realmente característico de la ciudad, razón por la cual decidí crear un "pintxo", plato muy típico allí, consistente en una pieza de pan con varios ingredientes sobre ella...

Against domestic violence!

This poster was the first work I sent to a contest by my own. It was organized by Istituto Europeo di Design and the magazine Yo Dona. And I was successful as I was one of the 20 finalists! The challenge was to create a poster in order to make aware about the fight against domestic violence. I decided to use the international tradition of pulling up the petals of a flower (he loves me, he loves me not...) till one gets the answer to the question "does he love me?". The answer was clear: If he hits you, he loves you not.


Este cartel fu el primer trabajo que envié a un concurso. En este caso fue organizado por Istituto Europeo di Design y la revista Yo Dona. Y fue todo un éxito porque fui seleccionada como uno de los 20 finalistas! El reto era crear un cartel para concienciar sobre la batalla contra la violencia doméstica. Decidí utilizar la tradición internacional de deshojar una flor (me quiere, no me quiere...) hasta que se obtiene la respuesta a la pregunta. La respuesta es evidente: "si te pega, no te quiere".

My first munny!

I´ve always loved customized stuff and really admire those who have such a creativity and technique to do it. Those days it´s so usual to see customized toys everywhere, so I decided to try a years so ago and... this was the result!
I must try it once again as it was so fun.


Siempre me han encantado las cosas customizadas y admiro a los que tienen creatividad y técnica como para hacerlo. Ahora es muy normal ver toys customizados por todas partes, así q hace más de un año decidí lanzarme a la piscina y... este fue el resultado!
Tengo que repertirlo porque fue una experiencia muy divertida.

Anniversary!

Today I´d like to share a few pieces of the campaign we developed for Putzmeister´s 50th anniversary. Used to a serious and traditional communication style, the clients and our colleagues all around the world, really liked this work.
It was based on the idea that the company had already worked and innovated since it was created and that the new challenge would be then being able to say the same after 50 more years. That´s why the slogan used was "50 years. And now more", always using the symbol "+", which is read as "more".
It was really nice to do this as it was the most complete communication campaign I managed to develope there (it also included a banner and merchandising but unfortunately I don´t have pictures of that).


Hoy quiero compartir algunas de las piezas de la campaña que desarrollamos para el 50 aniversario de Putzmeister. Acostumbrados a un estilo de comunocación muy serio y tradicional, a nuestros cliente y compañeros de todo el mundo les encantó este trabajo.
La idea base era que la empresa había logrado crecer e innovar desde su creación y que el reto 50 años después sería poder decir lo mismo. Por ese motivo el slogan escogido fue "50 años. Y ahora más", siempre utilizando el símbolo "+".
Fue genial sacar este trabajo a la luz ya que fue la campaña de comunicación más completa que tuve que desarrollar durante mi paso por esta marca (incluía también un banner y merchandising, pero por desgracia no tengo imágenes).

Mixed works!

After working in advertising agencies, I worked during three years as a graphic designer for a german company which developed and comercialized machinery to pump and project concrete and mortar... Yes, I know it sounds wierd, but it was such an interesting experience to change their graphic and communication style in such an industrial enviroment. Today I upload some of the brochures and spreads I did there...


Después de trabajar en un par de agencias de publicidad, pasé a ser durante tres años la diseñadora gráfica de una empresa alemana dedicada al desarrollo y comercialización de maquinaria para el bombeo y la proyeccción de hormigón y mortero... Sí, sé que a priori suena raro, pero fue una experiencia muy interesante lograr cambiar su estilo gráfico y líneas de comunicación en un entorno tan industrial. Hoy subo algunos de los folletos y anuncios que híce allí...

While working as a graphic designer for Putzmeister, I had not only to develope press spreads and brochures, but also trade fairs stands. So here I upload some of the stands for which I designed the graphics for the vynils...

Cuando trabajaba para Putzmeister como diseñadora gráfica, no sólo tuve que hacer anuncios de prensa y folletos, sino también encargarme de los stands de múltiples ferias a las que acudía la empresa cada año. I´ve also worked for music bands. I made this logo and applications for Underground Sanguíneo, a great Hip Hop band from Madrid...
